Calls have emerged for Queensland’s gel blaster laws to increase after “string of armed robberies”, including ones in Logan.
Last week a group of teens, three of whom are from Logan, allegedly robbed stores across Logan, Brisbane and the Gold Coast with gel blasters.
In March, an Eagleby woman allegedly fired a gel blaster at another vehicle while driving on the M1.
In February, an 18-year-old pizza delivery guy was robbed at gunpoint by a 21-year-old with a gel blaster, who stole the worker’s car.
Similar events also occurred last year, and are continuing to happen throughout the state.
