A woman has died after being struck by an item that fell from a moving vehicle at North Maclean last month, in an update to an earlier police investigation.
Police said the 58-year-old was walking along Crowson Lane about 11.40am on 25 March when she was hit by an object that had fallen from a passing vehicle.
She was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition but died on 2 April.
Investigators have since located the vehicle involved, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and the driver is now assisting police with their inquiries.
At the time of the incident, police said the driver did not stop at the scene and appealed for public assistance to identify the vehicle.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate and is again urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
