Logan City Council claims that the twin retirement villages of Waterford and Bethania are separate entities and use that fact as justification to route the rail trail between the our two villages.
Our villages may have different addresses and different postcodes but we are one community and share the facilities between us.
Practically everything that happens, from lawn bowls to choir singing, from aerobics sessions to dinner dances and even a community garden are attended and enjoyed by residents from both villages.
Lines on maps and signs on poles may define suburbs but they do not define communities; people define communities.
