Two police officers were taken to hospital after a car allegedly struck their vehicle during a response to a reported theft at Yarrabilba.
Queensland Police said a man stole a wheel from a trailer parked outside a Fletcher Street address shortly after 8pm on Sunday 2 August.
He was then seen leaving in a black Ford Fairmont bearing stolen number plates.
Members of the public directed responding officers to the car shortly before 8.30pm.
Police allege the driver swerved towards a member of the public before crashing into a police vehicle on Pinnacles Street.
A member of the public sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
Two police officers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An 18-year-old Logan Village man was taken to hospital for assessment and charged with offences including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, stealing, damaging an emergency vehicle, assault and receiving tainted property.
He was due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 3 August.
Police investigations are continuing.
