Springwood Mall will celebrate the completion of its $21 million redevelopment this weekend with two days of entertainment and giveaways.
Cash and prize giveaways are expected to be valued at more than $20,000.
From 10am on Saturday the centre will be packed with free kids’ entertainment including Elsa from Frozen and Snow White, craft activities, face-painting and live musicians until 3pm.
101FM will also be in-centre for a live broadcast from 9am to noon.
From 9am Saturday, there will with a Spin N Win promotion.
A $6000 ring featuring a one-carat, lab-grown diamond and two smaller diamonds provided by Ridge Jewellers will be up as well as other great prizes and vouchers.
Customers who have spent $60 or more in Woolworths or Target or $20 or more in other stores on August 26 only can take their receipts to the promotional wheel outside Ridge Jewellers until 4pm and spin for their chance to win.
On Sunday, customers will need to be at the centre’s 11am draw for their chance to win a share in a $10,000 cash giveaway, or a kids cubby valued at $2,000.
Cash prizes from $500 to $6000 plus the cubby will be given away when entries are drawn from the barrel.
Free kids’ activities and entertainment will continue throughout the centre until 2pm.
Marketing manager Donna O’Neill said Springwood Mall was looking great following the redevelopment.
There are new car parks, fresh interiors, improved accessibility, additional retailers and a new ‘Eats’ alfresco dining precinct.
“This is the first redevelopment Springwood Mall has undergone since it opened in 1986,” Ms O’Neill said.
“These ‘Weekend of Wow’ celebrations are our way of saying thank you to the community for making us a big part of their lives for 37 years and for welcoming our retailers into their regular shopping activities.”
Ms O’Neill said the retailers and centre management have received a lot of positive feedback about the centre upgrade, as well as the cash and prize giveaways to celebrate Springwood Mall’s new look.
“There is a lot of excitement about the prizes we are giving away this weekend totaling over $20,000 in value, especially the cash and diamond ring giveaways.
“We have also received many compliments about the fresh food stores, dining options and new health services that have joined our long-term retailers inside and outside Springwood Mall.”
