Two men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Slacks Creek late last year.
Police from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a Rochedale South man, 32, and a Holmview man, 30, over the incident, which allegedly occurred about 12.55pm on Boxing Day, 2025.
Police allege a white Toyota Hilux and a silver Mazda 323 were involved in an incident on Kingston Road before both vehicles stopped at the intersection of Bunda Street and Park Road.
Investigators say the two men travelling in the Hilux then confronted the Mazda’s occupants.
It is alleged one of the men struck a 22-year-old man in the face with a hammer, while the second man assaulted a 44-year-old man who was also in the vehicle.
Police further allege one of the accused attempted to steal the Mazda but was unsuccessful. The men allegedly took the victims’ mobile phones before leaving the scene.
Both victims received medical treatment for their injuries.
The Rochedale South and Holmview men have been charged with armed robbery, assault and dangerous driving.
They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court separately on 30 March and 6 May.
Police said the arrests were part of Operation Yankee Forge, a six-month operation targeting “high-harm and high-volume property offences”, which includes dangerous driving, illegal use of cars, illegal break-ins and burglary.
Investigations are ongoing.
