A group of volunteers dedicated to restoring natural habitats along Slacks Creek are inviting anyone and everyone to a morning of tree planting.
Slacks Creek Catchment Group is aiming to expand its mangrove restoration area by planting more native species on Sunday 17 March.
And they’re calling on more help from the community.
“This is a fun activity suitable for everyone,” event organisers said.
“We are asking everyone to please bring their own gloves if they have them, water, sunscreen, covered shoes and a hat. We will have gloves to borrow if you don’t have your own.
“We will be providing a morning tea/bbq to enjoy together after the morning’s work. Please message us if you have any dietary requirements.”
The group will meet at Riverdale Park in Meadowbook. The event will run from 8-10am.
Parking is free.
