I FEEL compelled to thank Clarks Buses for the wonderful work they’re doing towards cleaning the air of their local environment (MyCity Logan November 2).
Your front page story highlighted the great work, and no doubt great expense, that the company is doing to convert its bus fleet to electric.
Your pioneering efforts are not going unnoticed by your community and I for one implore you to keep it up.
Let’s hope that the services you are running are embraced by the local community in their efforts to get from Point A to Point B.
Not enough people are using public transport, so this might be the encouragement they need to jump on a bus to their next destination.
Let’s hope more people see the sense in electric vehicles, and let’s hope that manufacturers can get their act together to provide purchasers cheaper prices.
The more of this type of vehicle on our roads, the better as far as I’m concerned. It’s great Logan is doing its bit.
