Teen charged for Bahrs Scrub stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed during a break-and-enter at Bahrs Scrub on Thursday 18 May.

According to Logan detectives, a 49-year-old man confronted three criminals at a home in Bahrs Scrub, before a fight broke out and he was stabbed.

The three men were then picked up by a waiting Ford Ranger – stolen from Algester the day before (17 May) – which drove into the front of the house, causing it damage.

The man was transported to Logan Hospital and is in a stable condition.

Videos of the incident have emerged online, obtained by bystanders and security cameras in the home.

One video shows the man entering the home defending himself with a scooter.

Two of the intruders flee as the third approaches the man and appears to stab him.

Bystander footage shows the Ford Ranger ramming the front of the house, and then driving off with the three intruders.

The teenager has been charged with acts intended to resist/prevent lawful arrest/detention, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Beenleigh Children’s Court at a later date.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
