Studio a low-cost lifestyle

One lifestyle company says low-cost living is high in demand as a retirement lifestyle option.

Ingenia Lifestyle has consequently released a home design which comes in at $199,000 for its most basic model.

Called the Fitzroy at Chambers Pines, Chambers Flat, the retirement home has a bedroom, kitchen and living area.

The concept combines architectural design with a land lease ownership model, making resort-style living possible for some who thought they might otherwise miss out.

Residents own their property and lease the land the house is built on, which means owners avoid rates, stamp duty, exit fees and deferred management fees.

The Fitzroy display home is one of six new designs at the venue’s display village.

The Chambers Pines community was recently named Australia’s best affordable housing development at the 2020 Property Council of
Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards.
