Students want ‘best version’ of selves

Springwood State High School is building local and global leaders for the future.

Springwood State High School is a learning community, dedicated to a school vision of empowering students for life long success through 21st-century innovative teaching and learning within a culture or care.

A commitment to four pillars of excellence drives the school’s new directions; Our Culture, Our Learning, Our Students and Our Pathways.

The “Our Pathways” pillar drives a commitment to building local and global leaders at Springwood State High School so that students have a life of choice, a career that they are destined for and opportunities beyond their wildest dreams.

“We focus on student voice and choice at Springwood State High School,” school leaders said.

The Our Students pillar focuses our work on putting learners first.

“We personalise extension for every student and engage students in learning through a range of on-site programs and through partnerships through local training providers and employers,” they said.

Springwood State High School students have been accepted into a range of university programs in areas including: medicine and dentistry, engineering and aviation, business and design, animation and song-writing, education and criminology.

“In 2022 and beyond we will continue to grow our future leaders and provide programs which are responsive to the needs of our students,” leaders said.

“Vocational certificates in Business, Active Volunteering and Performing Arts are part of our offerings.  Our students also undertake internationally recognised awards in the Duke of Edinburgh Program.

“By putting our learners first, Springwood State High School teachers focus on every student’s talents and grow their passion for learning. We are dedicated to our Springwood Learners growing and demonstrating the 6 C’s, evidence-based twenty-first century skills for success; critical and creative thinking, character, citizenship, collaboration, and communication.”

Springwood State High School encourages students to dream big, focus their learning, and achieve their goals and pathways.

There is an innovative, rich educational platform where students are able to have those opportunities and the support to become the best possible versions of themselves.
