A home built for charity will be available for sale by ballot draw on Saturday.
The draw for Renee 6 is at 11am at 140 Merivale Avenue, Jimboomba, with family fun from 10am to 1pm including food trucks, a jumping castle, live entertainment and celebrity guest, Steve Waugh.
AVJennings, together with over 50 suppliers, contractors and supporters donated their time, materials and expertise to build the house at Riverton.
All profits will be donated to the Steve Waugh Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and
young people living with rare diseases.
The Renee 6 is named after Steve Waugh Foundation ambassador, Renee Eliades, and is the sixth home built in the series so far.
This ready to move in home comes complete with three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas plus a multi-purpose room and double lock-up garage, is situated on at 420m2 block.
The person/people with the winning ballot will have to pay a $1000 holding deposit on the day and 10% of the sale price within 10 days.
The house also combines innovative design features such as keyless entry, parcel letterbox, garage door opening app and more, plus a number of accessible inclusions to suit families of all abilities.
AVJennings’ sales manager for Queensland Tony Creighton said there had already been interest in the house.
“With so many unique design features, the Renee 6 is not your average family home,” he said.
“We can’t wait to hand the keys over to a deserving family on Saturday and we encourage the local community to come
along on the day to enjoy the celebration”.
The sales brochure says there’s a sanitisation station and accessible hallways and doorways; a study nook and two living areas, and sound-proof multi-purpose room.
It has a Colorbond roof, Caesarstone benchtops and Westinghouse appliances. It’s fully fenced and landscaped and has a European laundry.
Agents say it’s ready to move in.
