Start the spring season early this year with a market day at the Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre.
The market, run by the Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association (LECNA), is promised to be the perfect opportunity to purchase gifts ahead of Father’s Day.
In addition to a Father’s Day raffle draw and pre-loved clothes swapping, there will be a variety of stalls selling books, CDs and DVDs, kid’s toys, brand new T-shirts, household items, Birck a Brack stalls, and hand-made cards.
Flowers and plants from market-regular Carol’s Garden will also be available.
“Carol’s Garden is in full bloom with a variety of different plants, flowers and succulents” LECNA’s admin officers Tamara said.
“Merle’s Second-Hand Fashions has something for everyone no matter your taste, shape or size.”
LECNA manager Cassie Paton said all profits would go back into the community.
“Community events like this not only bring people together to enjoy a morning out in the local community,” Ms Paton said.
“But it also supports the organisation by raising funds to cover the cost for programs such as Life Skills and Bringing Up Great Kids, currently on offer at LECNA.”
Food and coffee will also be available for purchase, including $4 for a bacon and egg muffin and $2 for a sausage on bread
The market day will be held on 31 August, from 8am, at 55 Cinderella Drive, Springwood.
