Speed trap nets 58 offenders

Police are out in force on Logan’s roads, enforcing a message to be safe during the Easter holiday period.

On Monday, April 11, they fined 58 motorists at a speed trap.

Senior sergeant Darren Smith from Logan District Highway Patrol said it is very concerning that motorists continue to exceed the speed limit on a regular basis.

“Motorists have to realise that the leading cause of fatal and injury traffic crashes is speeding, so everyone has to own the responsibility to slow down, adhere to speed limits and drive to the conditions,” he said.

Logan Police have numerous traffic operations over the Easter period and are strongly encouraging motorists to slow down and drive safely so they make it safely to their destination this Easter Holiday period.
