Special service at Muslim Centre

A local Indonesian Consulate Service was held at the Indonesian Muslim Centre in Loganlea last month.

And organisers invited local police to help celebrate.

Senior Constable Joanne McDonald and Constable Tailor Holst from the Loganlea Police Beat rode along in their jeep to enjoy the day.

They said it provided the Indonesian community with the opportunity to engage with police as well as a service for renewal of passports and other related matters.

Special guests Hon Vice Ambassador Syarif Alatas and Consulate General Heru Subolo were in attendance also.

“Thank you for inviting us along to such an important event,” police said.

“It was great to get a chance to chat to you all.”
