Social enterprises look at employment programs

Two local organisations have received funding as part of the latest round of grants to support social enteprises.

The Gambling Community Benefit Funding has shared $11 million between social enterprises throughout the state.

Substation33, located in Slacks Creek, received $18,000 and Kingston-based Yourtown received $25,000.

Subsation33 is dedicated to providing education, resources and training to people from marginalised backgrounds so they can attain stable employment.

Yourtown would manage a project aimed towards getting youth into employment.
