A large living room designed for movie nights and family gatherings has become the centrepiece of a Slacks Creek home now on the market, owner Rajiv Tiwari says.
Mr Tiwari said the living room was where his family spent most of their time during the four years they lived at 33–35 Lake Road.
“The living area is the best place,” Mr Tiwari said.
“We have a gigantic projector screen there so everyone can sit together.
“There’s plenty of space and everyone can enjoy meals and time together.”
The property sits on a large block in a pocket of Slacks Creek close to schools, parks and learning centres, all factors Mr Tiwari said helped convince him and his family to buy the home after moving to Australia from India four years ago.
“At that time, we were looking for something in Logan, and we liked the area,” he said.
“The property is in a very promising place next to schools, learning centres and parks.”
During their time at the home, the family carried out major renovations that significantly changed the layout of the house.
Originally built as a four-bedroom property, it has been reconfigured into a six-bedroom home after two additional bedrooms were added.
Mr Tiwari said the changes were partly driven by the family’s lifestyle, both he and his wife work from home and have relatives who visit them regularly.
“My parents and my wife’s parents used to come often, so we needed more space,” he said.
The renovations also included upgrades to the kitchen, bathrooms and outdoor areas, along with modern finishes throughout the interior.
Despite the additional rooms, Mr Tiwari said the home still retained a large open living space, which was important for entertaining.
The property’s size has also attracted a mix of interest from buyers.
Mr Tiwari said inquiries had come from large families, investors and buyers exploring the possibility of dual living or future subdivision opportunities on the sizeable block.
