Three armed men attacked a security guard early Friday morning while attempting to rob multiple stores in Logan and Brisbane.
Police are investigating a series of attempted armed robberies that started in Rocklea.
Three men armed with guns attended a licenced premises on Fairfield Road at around 1.40am, and threatened a security guard, demanding cash.
One of the men hit the security guard, and a shot was discharged into a wall, before the trio fled the scene in a white-coloured vehicle.
“Nothing was stolen and the security guard did not require medical treatment,” police said in a statement.
The same group attempted to rob a licenced premises on Mount Lindesay Highway at Park Ridge around 2.30am.
They forced entry and fired a shot into a door but left empty handed. No one was injured.
The white vehicle was dumped in Waterford West around 3.45am.
Police believe the two incidents are linked.
Investigations are ongoing.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the businesses around the time of the incidents or have dashcam in the area that could assist to make contact.
