A second person has been charged in relation to the death of a three-week-old boy at Greenbank.
A woman, 24, was charged with a domestic violence offence, cruelty to children under 16.
Police allege the boy died of internal injuries at a Rosemary Street address in Greenbank on 18 July 2024. and died shortly after being presented to the hospital four days later.
Earlier this week, a Cleveland man, 25, was charged with murder.
Police said the woman was from Southport.
Police said their investigations into the baby’s death had been “extensive and protracted.”
The woman is expected to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 4 March.
