School creates world of awe and wonder

Awe and Wonder was the theme for the Kimberley College biennial College fair held at the end of term two.

Principal Glenn Johnson said, “the theme was chosen to create a sense of curiosity, to inspire and to provide students across the College the opportunity to take a deep dive and investigate across a range of subject and curriculum areas over the term.

“The fair provided the students with the perfect opportunity to showcase their learning and classroom work to family and friends.”

The fair began with a cornucopia of hands-on classroom displays, covering everything from globetrotting travel to exploring world records and scientific discovery.

After an official opening and a spirited choir performance, the day provided an engaging and entertaining day of art, dance, science, and music on each of the stages set up around the campus.

Students and families were also able to enjoy huge inflatables on the main oval, sideshow alley, carnival rides, and grab a bite to eat with food tucks and market stalls available.

“It was a fantastic turn out today and we are so appreciative of the families and local community who are always so supportive of our students, they really are the heart of the College,” Mr Johnson said.

Situated in a semi-rural bush setting at Carbrook, Kimberley College is a co-educational, non-denominational independent school that caters for prep to year 12 and the takes a holistic approach to education underpinned by the Marzano framework.
