Local LGBTQIA+SB readers can join a free monthly book club and social gathering at Slacks Creek this month.
Sapphic Sundays will run from 10am-1pm on Sunday 19 July at Extraction Artisan Coffee, 7/3375 Pacific Highway.
Hosted by Weird Girls and Friends, the gathering combines brunch, books and conversation for local Sapphic readers.
The suggested July read is Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla, but attendees do not need to have read or finished the book.
Organisers say people are also welcome to discuss other Sapphic books and meet local readers.
The event is free, with registration through Humanitix.
