Retiree friend hub

West Logan retirees chasing fun and companionship need look no further with the opening of the Logan Village Probus Club.

Probus is a network of social clubs providing retirees with the opportunity to connect with others.

Membership is open to anyone retired or semi-retired, with thousands of members across Logan, Australia and New Zealand.

Probus’ Logan regional liaison officer Barry Smith said socialising was “so important in today’s world”.

“Probus Club Members enjoy making new friends and discovering new interests with like-minded retirees in their local community,” Mr Smith said.

“Probus Clubs get together on a monthly basis to listen to interesting guest speakers. Our members engage in a range of activities, trips and outings for members to participate in depending on their lifestyle.

“There is so much to choose from when you become a member of your local Probus Club.”

The Logan Village group will hold an information session and foundation meeting on Wednesday 16 October at the Logan Village Community Hall (21-23 Wharf Street).

Be there 9.30am to sign in, with the meeting commencing at 10am.
