The vibe in Logan is positive.
When we listen to our mayor talking about the many millions of dollars being invested into Berrinba and other industrial estates, a green flag rises for jobs.
When we hear businesses talking about opening their doors more regularly and trading more normally, that shows signs of confidence.
When we hear retailers, cafes, and tradespeople talking about taking learnings from the past year into their normal working lives, that screams innovation.
At MyCity Logan, we look forward to being part of that recovery.
One of the reasons we started during the pandemic was so that we’d be established by the time the recovery began.
Some will argue we’ve already started an upward swing. But there remain some challenges for businesses as JobKeeper and JobSeeker wind down.
Unemployment may rise, but it will be our responsibility as a community to ensure there are job opportunities for people locally.’
I have contacted a number of businesses about their plans, and will continue this into the new year. If you are doing exciting things with your business, send me a note at simon@mycitylogan.com.au.
Similarly, if you’ve attended a business which is doing great things, please let me know.
We rely on our community to be our eyes and ears on the ground, so please don’t feel any issue is too small to shoot off a quick email.
