Logan locals can prepare for the summer ahead by attending two upcoming expos hosted by Logan City Council.
The Logan’s Big Safe Day Out events in October and November will show the community how to prepare for a natural disaster or other emergency.
They will feature representatives from council, QFES, QPS and SES.
Logan Big Safe Day Out events are:
- Saturday 14 October, from 10am to 2pm at Commercial Cct, Flagstone (off Branson St)
- Saturday 18 November, from 10am to 2pm at Underwood Park, Underwood Rd, Priestdale (at the amphitheatre)
Mayor Darren Power said everyone was responsible for their own safety if the worst happened.
“You don’t want to be making tough decisions under pressure,” Cr Power said.
“It’s important to have an emergency plan that suits your family and property ahead of an incident such as a flood or bushfire.”
