Police track car allegedly stolen from Logan Central to Milton, driver arrested

A grey Audi S3 that was allegedly stolen from a Logan Central address was tracked by police across Brisbane on April 18, leading to a man being charged.

Police allege that around 11pm they tracked the car along the Centenary Motorway through Ipswich, Centenary and Inner West.

Officers deployed a tyre deflation device, but the car continued for a short distance before it was abandoned on an on-ramp in Milton.

Police allege the driver then ran into nearby bushland.

He was later found and taken into custody without incident. No one was physically injured.

A 23-year-old man from Oakey has been charged with six offences.

He is due to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court on April 20.
