A man has been charged with murder after a 66-year-old man allegedly suffered fatal stab wounds during an altercation at a Beenleigh house.
Queensland Police said officers were called to a Lubach Street property about 4.45pm on Tuesday 18 August following reports of an altercation involving three people who were known to each other.
Police allege the 66-year-old man sustained stab wounds during the incident.
Officers performed CPR after arriving at the property, but the man died at the scene a short time later.
A crime scene was declared and a man and woman were taken into custody.
Following investigations, police charged a 47-year-old Karalee man with one count of murder.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday 19 August.
Police said a 43-year-old Beenleigh woman remained under police guard in hospital and was expected to assist investigators further.
Investigations into the man’s death are continuing.
