One boy in custody, another outstanding after Woodridge incidents

A 13-year-old boy has been charged over a series of alleged property offences in Woodridge.

Police say they were called to Birun Street and Wilbin Street about 12pm yesterday, Tuesday, 21 April, after reports that two boys were entering backyards.

Police allege one of the boys ran from the scene when officers arrived.

He was arrested a short time later and charged with four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of entering a premises and committing an indictable offence, and one count each of receiving tainted property, wilful damage, stealing and obstructing a police officer.

He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Children’s Court this morning.

Police said they would continue to search for a second boy, believed to be connected to the incident.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
