Offering authors a thriving career

The Logan Writers Festival is bringing readers and writers together to strengthen the community, share a love of the creative word, and given local authors an opportunity to exhibit their novels. It is our goal to make the starving artist a myth here in Logan.

Hosted by Logan’s Chamber of Commerce, Logan will have its very first Writers Festival.

The Chamber invites the community, authors, and writers to this two-day event celebrating the literary arts.

The event will be held at the Logan Artists Association (27 Coral Street, Loganlea) on September 10 and 11.

The gates will open at 9am, hosting over 20 stalls and 22 guest speakers.

Notable local authors such as Claire Fitzpatrick, Vicki Bennett and Edwina Shaw will present on all manner of topics, ranging from the story behind their stories or the craft of writing and business for aspiring writers.

See first-hand the best of Logan’s local indie authors and their publications. Get the chance to talk with other readers and writers about your favourite books and hopefully find new ones to delve into.

The Logan Writers Festival always aims to grow the creative confidence, capabilities and community appreciation for the literary professionals in Logan.

The Chamber’s goal is to help give local authors the skills needed to create thriving careers.

Bindi Topan,

Logan Writers Festival.
