LOCAL residents are looking to partner with Logan Lightning Football Club to start up walking football on Mondays, starting 9.30am.
“It’s for has beens, or were nots over 60 years of age,” Keith Forrest, who’s leading the charge, said.
“The Logan Lightning president and his committee has graciously allowed the use of one of the junior fields for the players to use. In addition, facilities will be provided after each session to have a coffee and a chat about how good or how bad we used to be and our past memories and experiences.”
Games will be three terms of 25 minutes each, and the first game is planned for the first Monday in August. Cost will be $5 per game per player which will be donated to the club.
Mr Forrest said it would be a lot of fun and an excellent way to maintain “some sort of fitness”.
