Work began last week on a $750,000 renovation of six netball courts at Ewing Park.
Logan City Netball Association expects to deliver the courts over two stages – three courts per stage.
Woodridge MP Cameron Dick said the upgrade would increase the opportunities and benefits community sport provides.
“Community sport plays a vital role across Queensland, getting our communities moving and bringing them together,” Mr Dick said.
“The Logan City Netball Association are doing just that, keeping my community fit while having fun, right in the heart of Woodridge.
“I am proud to be delivering on this $750,000 election commitment, which will renovate and revamp the courts on Netball Drive for more members of my community to use, for many years to come.”
Logan City Netball President Tracey Chase said it was an exciting day to see construction get started.
“This project has been an aspiration of our previous and current committee,” Ms Chase said.
“We priortised this project, to align with our five-year plan of rebuilding, retaining, and supporting our Logan City Netball community. We are very excited to see it come to fruition.”
Completion of the project is scheduled for March 2023.
