New lease on life for Latimer Road

First built in 1975, 201 Latimer Road at Logan Village has undergone a remarkable transformation to emerge as the modern home it is today.

Sales agent Kristie Steele said the current owners had put extensive time, money and effort into giving it a new lease on life.

“The current owners bought the property through me back in 2015,” Ms Steele said.

“At the time, the home was very old.

“But the owners had remarkable vision and started renovating right away, all while living there and raising a family.”

The then-40-year-old, dual-living, two-storey structure was transformed into what Ms Steele described as “a super modern and stunning five-bedroom, three-bathroom family home with internal stairs”.

And now it’s back on the market.

Ms Steele said the home’s upgrades outshone others in the area.

“Stunning stone features are evident throughout the house, including the glamorous ensuite, stylish kitchen, and two more super modern bathrooms,” she said.

“Not to mention the fantastic addition of a built-in kitchen and a BBQ area with a wine fridge on the deck, offering a view over the pool and the flat five-acre property.”

Ms Steele said the transformation of the home’s exterior was just as “remarkable and thoroughly modern” as the interior.

“The owners have invested a significant amount of time and money into the property,” she said.

It has a machinery shed with built-in benches for a workshop, along with a massive 32-metre-long aquaponic facility, fitted with tanks and filtration equipment that is able to hold 2000 fish.

“There is an opportunity to restart the aquaponic and fresh fish business that once thrived on the property,” Ms Steele said.

“… or sell off the equipment to make your purchase even more appealing.”

She said the property was perfect for a large family, horse enthusiasts or someone ready to set up a home business or two, just as the current owners did.

Juggling three businesses, the extensive renovations and now a change to health circumstances took its toll on the owners, Ms Steele said.

“It’s time for them to take a step back and prioritise their well-being,” she said.

The owners Rob and Janine Dennis said the house was their “dream home”.
“We are selling as Janine has been diagnosed with an illness that can’t be treated in Australia,” Mr Dennis said.
“We have a huge opportunity where she has been accepted into breakthrough medial trial.
“Treatment starts in October so we are hoping to have the house sold by then.”

But beyond the property’s physical features, Ms Steele said the Logan Village neighbourhood was one to be rivalled.

“The community of Logan Village offers a wonderful country vibe while being only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbs.”
