New Queensland based early childhood education provider, Elephas Education has officially opened their first centre in Loganholme.
The centre caters 76 children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, with age appropriate educational programs specific to each group of children.
Elephas Education’s General Manager, Giselle Rayward, said their programs focus on nurturing children’s practical and developmental skills through innovative child led and educator guided learning methods.
“Our Dawn Wing is designed to support and nurture our youngest children aged 6 weeks to 2 years with a program that provides infants with important opportunities to explore their environment, extend their understanding and develop their skills.”
“The Twilight Wing is dedicated to our toddlers and juniors exploring the development of their independence skills by giving each child the opportunity to self-regulate, self-select and learn key interaction skills whilst also providing a curriculum that is built on their interests,” Mrs Rayward explains.
“Our Dusk Wing provides our Kindergarten children an opportunity to participate in our uniquely designed School Readiness program delivered by two Bachelor trained early childhood teachers.”
“This program ensures children are equipped with the skills and abilities required for an effortless transition into Prep,” she says.
The Loganholme centre boasts several purpose built environments to scaffold learning.
“Our centre has eight purpose built areas where children can engage in activities that encourage their developmental and life skills such as creative arts, shadow and light exploration, literacy, gardening and food exploration,” says Mrs Rayward.
“Play is at the forefront of our learning programs and we are committed to providing environments that are specifically designed to give children every opportunity to develop and learn positively and progressively.”
With a unique brand story, Elephas Education has set themselves apart from the already busy industry.
“Elephas was inspired by the bond between elephants and their young within the herd.”
“Our name reflects the similarities between our important role as educators guiding and nurturing children on a path of growth and success and elephants watching over their young as they learn to navigate the world around them,” Mrs Rayward explains.
Elephas Education Development Manager, Boe Hasanovic, said she is looking forward to welcoming families to the Elephas Education tribe.
“We understand choosing a childcare centre can be overwhelming, however we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and offer endless, rich educational experiences for each individual child.”
“I look forward to meeting our new families, building strong foundations and encouraging children to develop incredible unintentional and intentional learning every day,” she says.
The centre has stringent COVID-19 safety measures in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of staff, children, families and visitors.
Elephas Education is set to open more centres in various locations such as Griffin in 2021.
