New childcare centre at Loganholme

A new educational facility for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years has opened at Loganholme.

The centre will cater to 76 children and its general manager Giselle Rayward said programs would focus on nurturing childrens’ practical and developmental skills.

Elephas Education is a growing brand and has what they regard to be an innovative “child led and educator guided learning method”.

“Our Dawn Wing is designed to support and nurture our youngest children aged 6 weeks to 2 years with a program that provides infants with important opportunities to explore their environment, extend their understanding and develop their skills,” she said.

“The Twilight Wing is dedicated to our toddlers and juniors exploring the development of their independence skills by giving each child the opportunity to self-regulate, self-select and learn key interaction skills whilst also providing a curriculum that is built on their interests.

“Our Dusk Wing provides our Kindergarten children an opportunity to participate in our uniquely designed School Readiness program delivered by two Bachelor trained early childhood teachers.”

Mrs Rayward said the program aimed to equip children with the skills and abilities required for Prep.

The Loganholme centre has eight purpose built areas where children can engage in activities that encourage their developmental and life skills such as creative arts, shadow and light exploration, literacy, gardening and food exploration.

“Play is at the forefront of our learning programs and we are committed to providing environments that are specifically designed to give children every opportunity to develop and learn positively and progressively,” Mrs Rayward said.

“Elephas was inspired by the bond between elephants and their young within the herd.

“Our name reflects the similarities between our important role as educators guiding and nurturing children on a path of growth and success and elephants watching over their young as they learn to navigate the world around them.”
