1.Championing Community Voices
Macalister is on the cusp of transformative transportation infrastructure.
The Logan & Gold Coast Faster Rail project’s Kuraby to Beenleigh consultation is underway, and your feedback is crucial in shaping this transformative project.
I understand the significance of reliable and efficient transportation in our daily lives.
Key sites for Macalister residents, including Beenleigh, Holmview, and Edens Landing stations, are integral components of the proposed enhancements.
Input is important in ensuring that these upgrades align with our community’s unique needs.

Additionally, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking crucial planning for the upgrade of the Beenleigh Connection Road (Logan Street), City Road intersection and York St.
This project is in response to the growing challenges posed by increased traffic flows, congestion and extended waiting times for both road users and pedestrians.
The upgrade aims to achieve the following:
- Reduce Congestion and Improve Travel Times:
- By optimising traffic flow, we aim to alleviate congestion and reduce travel times for a smoother commute for Macalister residents.
- Improve Efficiency and Network Reliability:
- Enhancements to the road infrastructure will contribute to increased efficiency and reliability within our transportation network, benefiting both commuters and businesses.
