A man allegedly holding a firearm has surrendered to police following lengthy negotiations at his home in Logan Reserve.
Police were called to the 27-year-old man’s home on Chambers Flat Road shortly before midnight last night due to a noise disturbance.
Once on the scene, police officers reported what they believed to be a pistol-like weapon in the man’s hand.
An emergency situation was declared before 6am, with road closures around Chambers Flat Road, School Road and Loganview Road.
Ambulance crews were also at the scene.
The situation was resolved peacefully following police negotiations with the man that lasted until around 8:40am this morning.
He was taken to hospital and will be undergoing assessement.
