Man killed after hit on ‘both sides’ of Logan Motorway

A man has died after being hit by a ute and truck on the Logan Motorway this morning (30 October).

Police said initial investigations suggest the man was hit by two vehicles on both sides of the motorway near Kingston at around 1.20am.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly afterwards, where a 38-year-old man from Waterford was decleared deceased.

“The driver of a Mitsubishi Triton, a 21-year-old woman, and driver of a Sloanebuilt truck, a 56-year-old man, were not physically injured,” police said in a statement.

“Both drivers remained at the scene and are assisting police with inquiries.”

The motorway was completely closed following the crash, before reopening at about 6am.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash, to come forward.
