A man was seriously injured overnight (January 21) in an apparent hit and run at Park Ridge.
Police said a hatchback hit the 28-year-old man.
It then crashed into a garage and hit a parked car that was parked inside.
Both the parked car and the hatchback caught alight and burst into flames.
The driver of the hatchback fled the scene.
Police have declared a crime scene following a the crash.
Initial investigations indicate a man was driving a white hatchback on Rural Street around 9.30pm, before the crashes occurred.
The man who was hit was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious leg injuries.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident and anyone with information or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
