Alleged incidents in Loganlea and Loganholme over the weekend have led to charges against a Chinchilla man, 23, after police tracked a stolen car from Ipswich to Loganlea.
Police said that just before 10pm on 1 May, a white Toyota Corolla, which was reported stolen by a hire car company after it was not returned earlier that day, was seen in Dinmore and tracked by POLAIR.
Officers attempted to intercept the car on Brisbane Road at Bundamba, but allege it failed to stop.
A tyre deflation device was then deployed in Redbank.
The Corolla continued for a short distance before crashing into a blue Suzuki Swift on Collingwood Drive in Loganlea.
Police allege the driver of the Corolla entered the Suzuki and demanded that the driver get out.
The Suzuki driver was not physically injured.
Police tracked the Suzuki along the Logan Motorway to Loganholme, where it crashed into a white Kia Cerato about 12.40am.
Police allege the man exited the Suzuki, took the Kia and drove off before crashing into a ditch shortly after.
The driver of the Kia was not physically injured.
Police arrested the 23-year-old Chinchilla man at the scene a short time later.
The man has been charged with several charges related to dangerous driving and break-in offences.
He was expected to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 2 May.
