Police have charged a Pimpama man, 23, after they allege he stole a ute from a Loganholme property on River Park Drive.
Police allege a black Ford Ranger ute was stolen from the property at about 7.20pm on Wednesday, 25 February.
At about 10.45pm that night, police were called to Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise, where the Ford had been abandoned in the middle of the intersection’s tram tracks.
Witnesses reported seeing a man walking away from the ute, police said.
Police arrested the man near the scene a short time later. He is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates’ Court today.
