A man has been arrested as police investigate the death of a 27-year-old woman at Slacks Creek early Wednesday morning.
Queensland Police said emergency services were called to a Rowanda Street property shortly before 12.30am on 12 August following reports of an assault.
Officers arrived within minutes and found the Woody Point woman unresponsive.
Police and paramedics performed CPR, but she was declared dead at the scene about 1am.
A 37-year-old Slacks Creek man was arrested at the property and was assisting police with their inquiries.
Police said the man and woman were known to each other and there was no ongoing threat to the community.
A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
