A man, aged 83, has been assaulted and had his car stolen from his Marsden home.
Police are investigating the robbery which happened in broad daylight, just after 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday September 2).
The thief entered the Kim Street residence through a back door.
The man located a set of keys and attempted to get into a vehicle parked in the garage when he was confronted by the 83-year-old resident.
The elderly man was punched and pushed into a work bench.
The man stole the car, a silver Nissan Skyline bearing Queensland registration UGL 111, and was last seen driving away from the residence along Kim Street.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of the car, or who live in the area and may have CCTV footage, to contact police.
The 83-year-old man has been treated for minor injuries.
