A Logan man has been charged with drink driving after two people, including a child, were injured in a crash.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a crash at Gilberton on 16 August.
Police allege a black Ford Falcon ute was doing burnouts when the driver “lost control and collided with a white Ford Ranger and white Holden Commodore”.
“The Ford ute subsequently caught on fire,” a statement said.
The occupants of the Ranger, a 30-year-old Waterford man and a 6-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Commodore was uninjured.
The driver of the Falcon, a 29-year-old Browns Plains man, was also uninjured.
He has been charged with one count each of driving while over the middle alcohol limit (0.104), dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving without a licence, driving an unregistered vehicle and stealing (fuel).
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates court on Monday, September 16.
