Logan Village’s most anticipated community event, the Logan Village Services Club’s pig races, are back for another year – raising funds for Legacy Australia and local community groups.
Now in its third year, the Logan Village Pig Races were designed to bring the community together for a fun, family-friendly day while also giving back to charity.
Logan Village Services Club Secretary Donna Wolfenden said this year would be bigger and better than ever.
“This fun-filled day welcomes locals and visitors alike for laughter, excitement, and great entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere,” she said.
“Cheer on the racing pigs as they dash to the finish line, enjoy live music throughout the event and treat yourself to a fantastic selection of food and refreshments.”
“There’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained too, with dedicated kids’ activities designed to keep smiles on their faces all day long.”
Ms Wolfenden said proceeds from the day would go to a great cause.
“Funds raised on the day are shared with Legacy Australia and a range of local community groups, ensuring the event not only delivers a great day out but also makes a meaningful difference,” she said.
“Join us for a day of excitement, entertainment, and community spirit – and help support those who support others.”
The club’s bar manager, Robert Stump, said the club’s kitchen would be cooking up a storm on the day.
“We are organising to have some delicious food cooked up for the day – we’re still tossing up some ideas in the kitchen,” he said.
“The kids and their families will absolutely love this event and every year it gets better and there is no harm to the pigs – it’s just a great day out for everyone.”
The Logan Village Pig Races will be held from 10am on Saturday, 28 March at Logan Village Services Club.
