Nearly two people have died on local roads every month this year.
In the last few days alone, two Logan residents were killed in separate crashes on opposite sides of the city.
Police said drivers need to slow down and be more alert as the city heads for the busiest part of the year.
“Road deaths remind us that driving involves constant choices; to stay attentive, drive safely, and avoid risky behaviours like speeding, phone use or impaired driving,” Commissioner of Police Steve Gollschewski said at a World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims event in Brisbane last month.
