Justin Salmon knows all about hard work.
He completed a Cert III in concreting before finishing year 12. That was before deciding that plumbing was to be his trade of choice, and has been for the past 12 years.
His business Leak Free Plumbing Solutions opened two years ago.
“I had worked my way through my previous employer and helped their business grow from four guys to 15, and in turn I now plan on striving for the same success,” he says.
So far, it’s Justin, his wife and Alex, a trade qualified plumber.
“Being a maintenance plumbing company, we service a wide area. I grew up in Logan and love the area so we aim to service mainly Logan, however we travel as far as the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Redlands and Ipswich areas,” he said.
“We pride ourselves on being multi-faceted and being able to work on any and all types of plumbing. At the end of the day that’s what keeps us motivated. Working on different types of plumbing systems keep us curious.”
Justin specialises in hot water systems.
“We tend to focus a lot of our time and effort on it and we see all too often misdiagnosed hot water issues or sub-par installations,” he said.
“Ultimately, we would like to re-instil some faith into the plumbing industry by delivering the highest standard of workmanship with our customers so they have a better understanding of how their units work, understand the symptoms of a faulty unit or valves and also give them peace of mind in knowing how to operate their unit for future reference.”
It’s that care for his customers that he believes sets him apart.
“We’re not too time poor to sit down and have a cuppa and a chat,” he said.
