Two new exhibitions showcasing Logan landscapes opened at Logan Art Gallery on the weekend, featuring works by Eagleby State School students and artist Rosie Lloyd-Giblett.
Ms Lloyd-Giblett, an environmental artist, drew inspiration from time spent at Eagleby Wetlands to create A Library for the Trees, Birds and Skies.
The exhibition includes expressive drawings, collages, artist books, and videos.
Students from Eagleby State School’s Year 3 and 4 classes studied how Australian artists represent the landscape before using Google Map images to create Eagles Eye, a collection of aerial landscape artworks on paper.
Both exhibitions will be on display until Saturday, 22 March.

Great work! Love the aesthetics – particularly the indigenous artwork which pays tribute to those who were here before us.
Let’s keep getting better as a community.
