Library app brings books to phones

A Logan City library app has been developed to enable residents to access library services on their phones.

The app can be used to access a variety library services, including loaning books, reserve a library computer, submit a print job, and searching for authors and library activities.

Library members can also link their accounts together to see when family members items are due, or to collect reserved items.

To login to the app, current members should use their membership number and PIN/password.

Non-members can apply for a membership using the app.

Deputy Mayor and City Lifestyle Chair Laurie Koranski said the app would allow greater accessability to some of the city’s favourite spaces.

“The app provides access to half a million items from our Logan Libraries collections,” Cr Koranski said.

“It allows library members to search and instantly access their favourite authors, topics, movies and music.”

Search for Logan Libraries on the app store to download the app.
