The Childhood Summit 2023 is fast approaching, and will serve as platform for 40 children to be keynote speakers.
The forum is themed “Secret Lives of Children – What Adults Need to Know!” and offers up an almost adult-free menu of speakers.
Also speaking at the event is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advocate and writer Thomas Mayor.
After running successfully in 2019 and 2021, organisers said they hoped to build on previous efforts to allow children’s voices to be heard, validated, and acted upon, especially regarding their right to play.
The summit is on 23 and 24 June (Friday and Saturday) at the Griffith University Logan Campus.
On the day, speakers aged 4-14 will share their wisdom and insights and let grown-ups in on the worlds they inhabit.
