Aircraft noise comes with a senate inquiry demanding that authorities do better. The drones come with a promise from the entrepreneur to fix the problem.
One thing governments struggle to get their head around is that people are forgiving – if they feel they’re being told the whole story, and indeed the truth.
The problem with the truth is that it needs to be told from the get-go. Once you’ve tried to spin an outcome to the public, they’re no longer as forgiving or trusting as they might have been.
When Airservices Australia said planes would fly over the water where “practicable”, maybe they should have clarified.
