Inala housing market remains affordable despite price increases of close to 15%

Five of Brisbane’s ten most affordable streets to live on are located in Inala, according to data released by Ray White.

Begonia Street is Inala’s most affordable street and the second in Brisbane, behind Beagle Street in Fitzgibbon, with properties costing a median $620,000, calculated from the sale of five properties on the street.

Crocus Street ($645,000) and Goldfinch Street ($648,500) both had median property prices under $650,000.

While Buddelia Street and Taurus Street both recorded a median property price of $650,000.

Inala featured 12 times in the top 50 most affordable streets in Brisbane. Seven Forest Lake streets made the list, as did two streets in Ellen Grove and one street each in Durack, Richlands, Oxley, and Wacol.

Forest Lake’s most affordable streets include Laricina Circuit, which has a median property price of $652,500, Scarlet Place, which has a median property price of $655,000, and Ashton Way, which has a median property price of $657,000.

Despite Inala’s affordability, house prices in the suburb have increased by 14.3% in the past year and 110.5% in the past five years, according to Domain’s house price September quarter report.

The median house price in Inala is currently $800,000, according to the same data.

Durack and Oxley have seen similar increases in their respective property market, with prices in Durack increasing by 12.1% in the past year, and prices in Oxley increasing by 10.3% in the same period of time.

The median house price in Durack is $854,500, and $951,000 in Oxley.

Both Pallara and Heathwood experienced a 3.4% increase in property prices last year and a 70.3% and 68.1% increase in the last five years.

Pallara’s median house price is $962,000, and Heathwood’s is $1 million.
